The show must go on…

On March 16, The Players Centre’s Shop space on 10th St. in downtown Sarasota was hit by a tornado. Luckily, no staff members were injured, but the building where we house our costumes, props, and construct sets sustained damage. Unfortunately, a large portion of the roof covering was blown off and currently, the building is being assessed by a structural engineer to determine its safety. Temporary roof covering will be installed as soon as possible to protect the contents we depend on for our productions.

Following determination of safety to reenter, the facility and contents will be assessed for damage.

The Players Centre will use this unexpected event to replace the roof AND improve other facets of the building to create a better work environment for our team and be good stewards of our physical resources and assets.
