Ushers

Help give back to our community by greeting and seating our wonderful patrons. In turn, you will benefit in ways not available at any other venue in Sarasota. You will have a seat at every performance, you will know your schedule for the coming year when performances are announced and you will not be working with strangers each time. Instead, you will be assigned to a team where you can work with new friends.

If you have experience, you can fit right in. If not, we will train you. Positions available include:

  • costume sewing
  • lighting
  • poster distribution
  • props
  • set construction
  • set painting
  • sound
  • telephone support
  • ticket sales
  • wardrobe maintenance

Performance Host

The Players Theatre in Sarasota is looking for a new group of volunteers called Performance Hosts.  We are looking for people with management skills to oversee the house and insure a smooth start to the show.  Duties include greeting of patrons and assisting them if needed, coordination with the show stage manager for smooth show start and opening of the house, interaction with the show’s lead usher, assisting box office staff if needed in answering the phone, providing assistance, etc., insuring the house is clean and ready to go.
